CQC Tuesday is our weekly briefing on every published UK care-home inspection. We read them all and distil the workforce-governance pattern, the recurring findings, and the evidence categories that move ratings. Used by sector partners, trade press, and operators preparing for re-inspection.
The 7-of-10 finding: seven of ten CQC sub-themes inspectors flag are workforce-governance, not clinical. This archive shows the pattern week by week.
Each weekly entry is built from the inspections published that week. We don't commentate; we summarise the patterns and note the formats inspectors expect. Trade press uses these entries directly — see citation guidance below.

“The most striking thing from a year of reading every published CQC inspection: the inspectors keep coming back to the same workforce-side findings. Staffing levels. Training. Supervision. Leadership visibility. Governance. The clinical findings are real, but they cluster less. The workforce ones compound.”
Of the ten most-cited CQC sub-themes, seven are workforce-governance: staffing, training, supervision, leadership, governance, record keeping, risk management.
Three are clinical: medication management, infection control, nutrition. These cluster less and stay relatively steady week to week.
Of inspections rated Inadequate or Requires Improvement cite staffing levels as a finding. Single biggest sub-theme in the published reports.
CQC Tuesday entries are public-domain analysis built from public CQC data. We don't paywall, we don't gate. Trade press, sector associations, and partner blogs use these as a primary citation source for sector trend reporting. Our ask is simple: link back to the entry, attribute Carecentre, and tell us so we can return the courtesy with future material.
